Acknowledgement of Country
We acknowledge the storytelling of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders. We pay respects to elders and people in communities whose stories have kept the oldest living culture alive. Many Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders construct diverse genders and sexualities in different ways and we acknowledge and respect the variation in cultures across the lands of what is known as Australia. The stories of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people have an important role to play in the way genders and sexualities are represented and reconstructed in education contexts. We hope to find and share more of these stories on our journey with Rainbow Book Box.
